Sodium Formate
Application:
1. Mainly used for the production of formic acid, oxalic acid and insurance powder.
2. Used as a reagent, disinfectant and mordant for the determination of phosphorus and arsenic.
3. Preservatives. It has a diuretic effect. It is allowed in EEC countries, but not in the UK.
4. It is an intermediate for the production of formic acid and oxalic acid, and is also used for the production of dimethylformamide. Also used in medicine, printing and dyeing industry. It's also a precipitator for heavy metals.
5. Used for alkyd resin coatings, plasticizers, high explosives, acid-resistant materials, aviation lubricating oil, adhesive additives.
6. The precipitant of heavy metals can form complex ions of trivalent metals in the solution. Reagent for the determination of phosphorus and arsenic. Also used as disinfectant, astringent, mordant. It is also an intermediate for the production of formic acid and oxalic acid, and is used to produce dimethylformamide.
7. Used for plating nickel-cobalt alloy electrolyte.
8. Leather industry, camouflage acid in chrome tannery.
9. Used as catalyst and stabilizing synthetic agent.
10. Reducing agent for printing and dyeing industry.
